Is why TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury)

Is Not a Total Roadblock

In a Survivor’s Life

“Perseverance is everything, and CMI is a step above the rest!”

I, Author Frank A. Throneberry decided to do what I consider heightening my career as a TBI Survivor who wrote a couple books.  I’m going to attempt to write a newsletter for what I consider to be one of the best TBI facilities in the state of Michigan.  Therefore it is my choice to at least give it a shot and try to publish a copy once a month for CMI.

At CMI there are some special needs that survivors quite like myself have need of such as: OT (Occupational therapy), Mental Health therapy, PT (Physical therapy) Cognitive therapy, and Day Programming.

Now, me, myself, and I, all three of us, were a part of another head injury program for six years.  When I first moved to that other program they convinced me I was as good as I was going to get.  During that time, that program would not allow any type of therapies.  After a while of not having therapy, I happened to notice a need, or a loss of the things I had learned from the therapies I had many years ago.

Therefore, all survivors need a refresher course, due to the fact everything they had thanks to PT, OT, and Psych. was no longer with them, but it might have all slipped away.  This means once you are a survivor of TBI you will always be a survivor in some way, but some type of therapy or refresher course might be needed.

For that CMI also offers outpatient services as well for such things needed as refresher courses.  Just give us a call at 248-291-8380 or email us at info@ourcmi.com. However, mind you, CMI also offers for the independence of their clients apartment living or housing for semi-independent living.

So, besides me, myself, and I the three of us Author Frank A. Throneberry who is writing this newsletter, we also have Drew Ford as the Marketing Coordinator.  Drew was added to the team because he is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist as well as has a degree in multimedia too.

CMI of Troy and Utica is a beautiful thing, living in the semi-independent living program and going to the clinic every day is just the reason I feel this way. I see things getting better around here every day.  Whether it is about the living situation of any particular client, I always see progress taking place.  When I meet a new client, staff, or clinician for the first time I realize, improvements are not far behind.

The Clinicians, Staff, and Clients of Communicare of Michigan, make this place a step above the rest.  And man, that is a beautiful thing!!!
